Forged Design is a custom metal fabrication shop based in Toronto, working with homeowners, architects, designers and business owners right across the city.
We are based in Toronto, and most of our work happens here.
Our shop is on Waterman Ave in East York, which means we are a short drive from most of the city. For Toronto projects we can usually come out, measure on site, and talk through options in person rather than working from photographs.
Toronto is a city of very different housing stock sitting side by side. A narrow Victorian semi downtown needs a different staircase solution than a wide postwar bungalow, and a condo balcony has rules a detached house does not. We build to the space rather than to a catalogue.
Downtown work brings its own constraints: tight access, shared walls, limited parking, and neighbours close by. We plan around those things before fabrication starts, not after.
Common Toronto projects for us include interior staircases, interior and exterior railings, steel and glass doors and partitions, and custom metalwork for shops, restaurants and offices.
